Lansbury Gardeners
The group started in June 2008 as a
Well London project
funded by BIG Lottery,
delivered by
Groundwork London
with support from Poplar HARCA
- The project started when residents on the Lansbury Estate were
invited to adopt a grow bag in the Hind Grove Community Hall garden,
however we are also interested in getting involved in other gardening
activities and opportunities in Poplar.
- There are several large grow bags located in the garden - each of
which has been adopted by a family, school or community group. You
can grow what you like, and there are usually experienced or
professional gardeners on hand to give advice.
- All the bags are now being used - but if you are interested in
adopting a grow bag in the future, please get in touch and we will add
you to our waiting list.
- You don't have to have a grow bag to come to one of our sessions.
If you just want to come along and chat to others interested in
gardening and pick up some tips, perhaps about growing flowers and
vegetables in your own garden or balcony please join us.
- We formally constituted as Lansbury Gardeners on Thursday
April 9th 2009. You can download our constitution here.
